The blood work showed elevated liver enzymes very elevated. We were advised that it was either a poisoning of some sort or it could be liver shunt. We followed up with our vet the next day and Bella spent the day at his office for testing. It turned out to be a spider bite. She had been outside right before to go potty and got bitten by a spider, but our vet did say that up to two years old they can develop or rather show signs of the liver shunt. I'd really look into it further. It's not normal for her to do this and the next time she may not snap out of it. I wish you the best and welcome to YT. Elaine
Jrsygal37 is right. This sounds alot like Liver shunt. Ask your vet for a bile acid test. It is very very inexpensive and should only be around $45 or so. I know you said that your vet ran several tests but I really doubt they did a bile acid test. I just think that you are taking a big risk by waiting for this to happen again. If it is liver shunt, then you could lose your baby next time.
