A stye is a bacterial infection within an oil gland on the edge of the eyelid. Because the tissues of the eye become inflamed from the infection, the dtye takes on the appearance of a small pimple. The pimple gradually comes to a head, opens and drains.
Prepare raspberry leaf tea and use it as an eyewash to alleviate styes. Recurring styes are often a sign of vitamin A deficiency.
