I am getting lulu finished for this year especially since it has to be done to have her spayed and then she won't get it for another three years or so. She is so damn small I don't see why it's necessary. |
We had a vet years ago who worked primarily with livestock. He was great with small animals as well but rather conservative. He said that if our can never went outdoors, the only shot he needed was for rabies and that was only because it would protect us in case he ever bit someone. Today, there is a vet just down the street that says we should vaccinate our cat for everything because "we can bring things home to him on our clothes". I think that the second vet just wants to make lots of money! I took our Yorkie there to board, and the second time we went, we were told we needed to give her a shot for "stress diarrhea". Our vet never said that, and the first time we left her they didn't do that. Has anyone heard of this?
