I just got a new puppy, Nina,
and we were sitting outside, I was reading the paper, and the next thing you know, I could not find her.
We too have a privacy fence in our yard. It seems pretty secure, but the rabbits and groundhogs sometimes dig little paths under the fence from time to time, so we know to watch out for this.
I called and called her...phoned the next door neighbor to check her yard...have her twins start helping me look, they called the neighbors a couple doors down with triplets (all the kids will be freshmen in high school in the fall) and I called my mom to come help (she lives around the corner).
We were all calling "Nina! Come here girl!"
My mom asked if I had checked the garden, I already had, but not pulling back leaves, so she did that and voila-there she was.
Well, the little stinker had gone into my perennial garden, and crawled under the leaves of the tiger lillies and was taking a snooze! It was nice and cool there cuz I had watered earlier.
But we were so scared, and I thought I was going to pass out initially.
So it really can happen to anyone. Lucky for us, she was just playing hide and seek.
But as soon as we can, she is getting the microchip. She has a collar with a name tag. She is just now 12 weeks old. I love her so much, and the thought of this puppy out there on her own was mortifying.
I am saying my prayers that a nice family is giving her shelter and trying to find you as much as you are trying to find Maddie. |
well thank goodness she was just hiding from you! I would have fainted!
Denise, Did Maddie have her ID tags on? You know, I do not have ID tags for my girls, they don't wear collars and I take the harness off after there walk, But I really need to get ID tags made up and keep them on them!
Still praying Maddie!!!! Come home sweet baby!!!!
