how come they didnt do the fecal while you are there? it only takes a minute to look in the telescope and see what they have..
disenfecting i would use bleach and lysol every where, wash all the bedding or where they sleep, or cuddle and spray all the furniture, any clothes on the floor wash them in at least warm water
i keep a bottle of tradedwinds tape dewormer at home, i can get a great deal on ebay, $10.00 for 5 pills, if i suspect anything i give 1/2 pill then and the other 1/2 in 3 weeks like my vet prescibes
