Just reading that made Me want to cry...that is terrible to have just purchased a home & now have to be stuck with all those repairs.....I wonder if you could find out if they where aware of this before hand & try & recoup some, if not all the repair bills?...I might causally talk to the neighbors & see if they recall if there was a plumbing truck there or if your in a small town make some calls to plumbing co.'s & find out if they had done any work at that house...That's A LOT of money to kiss off as just a normal home repair, thats a major repair & they had to have been dealing w/ that for awhile...Never hurts to inquire about it, that's free..
