Yup,mine has been doing that since I got him 3 yrs ago.It's the cutest thing.
my maltese also does this and she's destroyed her Sniffany & Co bed! She scratches and scratches for a few minutes that I find the velvet threads on the floor every morning lol.
Another thing that they do that is adorable is in the mornings Cookie is on his back curled like a donut ,covering one eye with his paw and peeking with his other eye waiting for someone to see him and give him his morning kisses and scratching lol.He will not get out of this position until I go tickle his tummy and give him lots of kisses and then he gets up.
