Does he eat close to bedtime? Gus gives me a hard time with sleep so I make sure he is well-fed with enough time to have a bm and then time to play to wear him out as close to bedtime as possible.
Right now he's training you. He knows if he gets you up, he will get fed. Even if he does get you out of bed early, I would not feed him until the time you would like to get up.
