We have lots of rattlers around here and I learned from my late husband that if it has a rounded head you don't have to worry. If it's head is triangular, it's poisonous.
To me, they're all poisonous and after having a rattler in my kitchen a couple of years ago, I still slam cabinet doors, etc when I'm in there doing anything
