They dont scratch,but they do lick them selfs a whole lot right before they go into heat
My Jess is going to be 9 months old on the 27th and she went into heat 3 weeks ago this wednesday.I thought that sheŽd go into heat almost a week before she did because she started licking her self ALOT.About a day before the bleeding started,her vulva doubled its size too.
Be prepared though! lol.I have been mopping up blood spots for almost 3 weeks now and she has got blood on my couch,my bed,my dining room chairs and of course on all of us...Its a very messy stage

Her smell has also changed,although weŽve been giving her butt baths every day and bathing her ever 3 days ever since shes in heat..she still has that bloody smell about her which isnt nice either.Im seriously thinking about getting her spayed
