I've been told by some I shouldn't pet it while it's laying on me or next to me....and I've been told by some that I SHOULD pet it. I tend to try to pet it and scratch it behind the ears quite a bit when it's near me....I think ignoring it wouldn't help matters. | There you going calling him an "it" again.
