I don't how to keep them floppy. TJ has floppy ears and he is 3 months old. They haven't gone up yet, and I don't know if they ever will. My only suggestion is to do the opposite of what you do to make the ears stand up. Many Yorkie owners trim their Yorkie's ear hair so it makes them lighter and the ears stand up. I would suggest (like typerk) to let the hair on the back of it's ear to grow out long and thick as a puppy so it's ears don't stand up.
