sometimes you can miss them eating the placenta. my first litter a few years ago, my girl had 5 babies but i never saw one placenta. she ate them as the babies were coming out, but i didn't know that. i couldn't see b/c she was down there working on them as they were coming out.
once she has finished having the babies, you need to take her to the vet and get oxy shot.
