Kathy and Pepper...I couldn't help it - I'm not a poet but this just had to come out...
I cried the whole time I was typing and hope I don't make you cry too much....you know I love Pepper just like he was mine and I haven't even met him in real life....even though I feel like I have thru you....
We've known each other a long time now and I don't think I could have written this if I didn't love you like a sister....I'll be here for you Kathy and Pepper is a lucky boy to have a family as special as you are.
To Sir Pepper
You were born out of greed
from humans with no care,
Sold to a pet store
Where you met an angel there.
That angel is your mom
Who saw something in your face.
She knew in her heart
She had to take you from that place.
Little did she know
That your life would be not long,
She fell in love with you
And is trying to be strong.
She knows the day will come
When she will have to say goodbye,
She’ll try to be brave
But Her heart is going to cry.
Her heart will cry for years
Remembering her happy boy,
Who brought her so much love
And had filled her heart with joy.
I know this is sad
But it’s all too true,
The awful things that happen
To special dogs like you.
Your mommy will be fine
One day when time goes by,
She’ll smile and think of you
And maybe she won’t cry.
The tribute she will give you
Is to remember you with pride,
Always in her heart
Like you never even died.
