That poor dog ! I agree this sounds like a scam. you need to check his background. You said he is CKC and APRI ? I know what CKC is but APRI ? I am sorry and this is just my opinion. If you want to get a stud dog I think you should stick with an AKC Stud dog. AKC is the highest quality of a breed that you can get. I knwo for a fact when I went looking for my babies I looked at all registry's and I talked to a lady that had a CKC Yorkie. When we got to talking she said she use to be with AKC but the are too strict on their qualifications of the dog and that CKC is more leaniant with who you breed your dog with. ( I didnt say it she did ) She tried to sell me a yorkie that was CKC, When I asked to see the parents. The father was a yorkie/chinchilla she told me well his father was a mix. NO THANK YOU. PLEASE do some research on the dog and its background. I know that AKC puts out a list of breeders that they have had trouble with/ I dont know if CKC or APRI does maybe someone else that has a dog from those registry's can tell you. It cant be good for that dog to stud that often. Do you know all his clientel all 18 of them ? do they have any defects in their bloodline ? Do they have papers ? who are they registered with? You really need to know. Getting a dog just to stud is not good. We are trying to keep the bloodline of the Yorkshire terrier free of defects and not to bred dogs that have any. that is what I love about AKC. I know you are excited about breeding or studing your dog but dont jump into this unless you get all your information and know what is going on. I wish you good luck in your decision. PLEASE be careful !
