How do you all deal w/puppy fur while grooming? The only time I can brush Kenzie is when she's in the tub slathered w/conditioner because her puppy fluff is falling out and matting her up

She hates it, even though i'm really gentle and she bites and screams and is miserable
Any products/advice/ideas?
