So glad you came here, there sooo much to considered before breeding. He needs to be evulated, how he fits within the breed standard. Does he have any major faults ie..? Before studding, there's tests that need to be done. The girl needs to be tested also. The stud fee is definitely the easiest route. You wouldn't be getting $1,000 for sure. There are few other breeders here that have studs that they stud out, I've asked in my area and it's $300. It also costs a bunch to own a female and do it right, proper prenatal, postnatal care, prepare for emergency c-section (could $2,000) Good luck and I recommend lots of reading, Searching the archives is a wonderful place besides the web to start. |
