I agree, I would say at least 6 months. Your vet should have an idea of when her first heat would be. Per my vet, their seasons corrispond with the climate seasons in your area, but I don't remember the particulars. I would imagine her first heat wouldn't be til she's 8 months. Also a heat isn't that big of a deal as long as you don't have a unfixed male around.
