My yorkie whelped 5 pups and ate every single placenta! She did has some loose stools afterwards. I would just encourage her to eat anything with calcium in it. Offer it to her as often as you can, if possible through the night too! If you can get her panting/breathing under control then you may be able to avoid the vet trip and bill! Continue to offer calcium rich foods (low lactose if possible as lactose tends to cause loose stools) everyday until she is done nursing. |
