I agree with those who wonder why this is sad. I understand that everyone wants these little Yorkies to be in the best possible homes. But I think about when we adopted Sophie. We got her from a family that were not professional breeders. They took our best offer. We looked them over and felt that they really loved their dogs (mom and dad and the pups), but they did not ask us questions. I am sure that all of you would feel this was wrong. In fact, they said that they had a call from an 80 year old man who had just lost his dog and wanted a female (so did we), so we took her then and there. (It was just her and her brother) Three weeks later she went into kidney failure. I am not sure if it was congenital or if she was poisoned in our home (plant?) or what. But we could have put her down. But we stuck with it for two years with weekly fluids, food, etc. Today, she is a healthy nearly six-year old. My husband still says that he is glad we got her. Maybe someone else would not have kept her alive. I am glad too. No one could have predicted what we would have done, no breeder or all the questions in the world. But she is alive, and we love her to pieces. So, for the people who are sad, try to be happy that the person who placed her is checking on her.
