Yep, that sounds like "protection mode" to me too. It sure would be good to put her away next time you groom your little boy.
For Diggy to be soooooo scared when you cut the hair on his butt is an alarming thing for me too. He must really be scared out of his mind and it has probably nothing to do if you ever hurt him by doing it but he just doesn't know what's going on back there. It reminds me of Mitzi when I first started to cut her toe nails. She fought me like it was for her life and she was never hurt before either! Well... I then took it very easy, one toe nail at a time (yes, it took me over 2 weeks to cut all of them) with a lot of treats and good girls and now it's not a problem anymore. Maybe you also tense up b/c you know already what's going to happen and that transfers to the little boy... a vicious circle... |
