 how much do you give your dogs?
How much benedryl do you give your dogs? Macie gets sooooo nervous when she rides in a car. She loves to go places, but the car ride getting there is a real hassle- no vomiting (thank goodness) but she climbs all over me, panting and trembling, freaking out the entire time. I've tried "conditioning" her- short daily rides every day for weeks, loooong rides (thinking she would evidentially adjust- NOPE! ( she did this for 6 solid hours one time) Nothing seems to calm her down. I have started giving her a little Chamomile tea about an hour before the trip. This seems to help some- it takes her anxiety level down a notch or two, I just wish she would take a nap and relax while we travel like the other pups do... do you think the benedryl might help settle her down somewhat?
Does anyone have any other suggestions? I would appreciate any ideas you can offer! |
