That will keep the hair off of the grass when he's outside and keep him from peeing on it. You can try this for the topknot too. If you see him messing with it tell him "no" and give him something to distract him. It's usually just a case of him getting used to it. If you would rather wrap him, I remove the wraps every other day and brush the hair out. I than reoil if needed and rewrap. Plastic wraps work well on males and can be reused. You can get the wraps and the bands to secure them from the color coordinated canine at www.laineeltd.com. Use plenty of conditioner as soft coats tend to get dry skin.
My 20 year old daughter complains that my yorkies are my babies when she should be. Oh well, she's so busy I do spend more time with them and I always know where they are. It's funny how things change as we get older. Tami | Tami, Thanks so very very much for U're thoughts and how to's... And yes Teddy is beautiful I just love his coat. Trust me I need it. I went to the site U said to go to for the wraps what size do U think I should I get? Also what kind of oil do U use on them to wrap with? See I'm NEW to this as U can tell but I love his coat long and it's beautiful when done right. He is my Favorite so far (Don't Tell Tiffanie and Sir. Galahad) But he loves to be groomed and played with. I will get him in training for it. Also any other thoughts about how to keep the other 2 from pulling them out without having to keep Teddy away from them? I know they love to play together and fight over "Dirty Harry" their stuff dog they have (My 2 youngest girls named that silly toy that! LOL). Any thoughts on that one? I'll get him in the girls terry ponytail holders they have tons of them until I get the wraps. Oh just wait until my 2 older girls sees him all wrapped they will say what in the world are U doing mom? U've lost it now! LOL! I can't wait to see their faces! I know how U feel about our furbabies I love my real girls (I have 4, ages: 23, 21, 11.5 & 8.5 and my grandaughter age: 16 months) But as U say they are busy and the older girls has their own lives and well the little ones now days aren't just in my lap like they use to be when they was babies. U know how it is. I know when my girls are all grown I'll have my Yorkie babies. I couldn't even start to think about the empty nest. So when it comes time for that maybe my Yorkie babies will fill that spot. Yes it is funny how things change. My Mother even makes comments to me on how I love those dogs more then my kids!!! Hugs and Many Thanks, Lee and Babies |
