I just got Bonnie's chip this week,she's 4 months old ( we thought she was 5 months.)
They place between the shoulder blades.
Then you have to have it activated,and pay a fee. It come with all the info you'll need. $10 activation,$14.99 a year.
Bonnie didn't yelp or anything when she had it done.
I think the chip has a number in it,and when you need to find your pet that number will show up on th lost pet "thing", and it will tel whom ever who the pet really belongs to.
You must activate it ,if you don't it will only be for local tracking,and not national.
