No one can tell me that money doesn't make a difference.
When I worked at a jail (years ago), we didn't turn anyone away and the only person that was released before time served was a man that was a regular. He was an alcoholic, was vomitting black stuff...was released, went to the hospital, hospital called the cops because he was banned from going to the hospital. Cops pick him up, bring him to jail, we refused to take him because we knew he was dying and the county didn't want to pick up the tab. Hospital finally allowed him to be seen, he was admitted, and died a week later.
Anywho, they have doctors that go to the jail for those that are sick...as well as dentists. If Paris had a medical condition that would have prevented her from serving her sentence, then that should have been brought out prior to her sentencing.
Her only "sickness" was probably a mental thing from being locked up in solitary for 23 hours out of a day. Once again, the laws and alike are giving preferential treatment to celebrities and those with lots of money. |
