I think when they are young and just training they need to have piddle pads where they can visually see them. As they get the idea I found that I could eliminate some. Taylor now has 2 piddle pads. He used to have more but now he has adjusted to just 2. I put them on tile floors instead of carpeted areas because sometimes it can run off the pad. He doesn't like to use the pad if it already has a tinkle spot on it, even a tiny spot.... He actually will show me the pad so I can change it for a fresh one. Needless to say... even though he is our only dog...we go through a lot of Piddle Pads!
