I wouldn't feed regular old hot dogs, bc the ingredients are pretty disgusting. But, maybe turkey dogs, chicken dogs, or even tofu dogs perhaps? I feed the toddler chicken dogs (baby section, in a jar) and they love them.
I'm not sure about grilling - isn't there some thought that grilling is a bit carcinogenic? It may not be so bad for us, but these guys are so little that it might have more of an impact on them.
