I had the same problem with Jake, and it was pretty easy to break him of it. He also liked to bite feet....but only if they had socks on because it was actually the socks he was after.

I read in "Yorkshire Terriers for Dummies" that if you make a yelping sound like a puppy does when it gets hurt, it will get their attention and stop them. You have to keep doing it, being very consistent, and tell them NO (after you yelp) in a firm voice, then hand them a toy or bully stick that they're allowed to chew on. The yelping really loud worked great for Jake.
