My boys are potty pad trained and use outside. I'm single and work 9 hour days and my work is a 40 minute drive. Mine run free but they are 2 and 3 yrs old. I would recommend an exercise pen and potty pads. Lots of toys and for God sake keep her away from the big kitty until they can learn to ignore each other. I'd hate for her to get scratched in the eye by accident!! Good Luck.
