I have not tried a litter box, but I pad trained mine. I've been lucky, he has been EASY for me to train.....BUT, I am home with him all day, then my husband is with him in the eves. So, he has lots and lots of supervision.
If you do a search in the training section, I'm sure you will find lots of info on pad training, since alot of us here do. Good luck!
