He will need to go out in the middle of the night. Also, my dogs get to go outside in the morning before even I get to pee!! They go out the second they start to stir.
It's summer now. Hire a neighborhood kid to let him out several times a day and do real crate training. If you put the newspaper in the pen he will learn it's OK to go on the newspaper and it will be difficult to teach him not to. If you WANT the dog to go outside you need a pet sitter to get him out every 1-2 hours while you are away for a month or two, then every 2-4 hours. Otherwise you will have to find another method... |
