Thanks for the replies. I'm going to see if my husband can stay with her, even if it's for a few hours. I guess we'll play it by ear the morning after her spay.
I was planning on having her wear a onesie as well. As my husband would say....Tia is too much of a diva to be caught dead in a lampshade! (even if it has crystal glued to it....I saw some celebrity in a neckbrace decorated with Swarovski....can't remember who...)
I was planning on keeping her crated if she does have to be alone. Although she does seem to mostly relax while we're both out of the house, her bed is on the second floor. I'd rather she was confined, so that she can relax without doing stairs.
I'll ask the vet's opinion and keep checking on YTer responses
