I always pick Chewy up when there are any dogs around because he is barely 2 and a half pounds. It can be very scary. The other day I was walking him and out from a building came a pitbull!!! We were barely a few feet away and the dog sort of came at Chewy. I got startled and just pulled him up towards me - thank god for the harness!!!- and as we walked by this beast was looking at Chewy and lunging forward, all he was thinking was LUNCH
You can never trust another dog owner to be responsible with their pets, so I always feel like I am on the defensive, it's sad.
