We had a pug for short time about 7 years ago(had to get rid of it and my Himilayen cat because Dr. thought son was allergic, come to find out he wasn't), we had her for about 5-6 months. I honestly didn't do a lot of research on the breed at the time, but I know they shed a lot, even thought they have short hair. Also they tend to have breathing problems. They are very playful and clownish. Our Chloe was sweet as could be and the house training was going well too. Like your boyfriend, my husband liked the breed, must be a man thing. At first I said no way they are so ugly, but I fell in love with her after we brought her home. I would recommend the breed if someone was interested in it, the only two things that would be a concern would be the shedding(allergy sufferers) and the breathing problems(some never have them). Perfect dog for a man too. Hope it works out for you. |
