dnurse & Luckyone, I am so sorry you both had yourself or a loved one contracted HPV...I personally think it would be wonderful if there where a vaccine that would eradicate this terrible virus...My issue is w/ the vaccine itself, I am so suspicious when a new drug comes on the market, & we should be..When ever a new drug comes on the market there is always a tremendous risk when trying it....there is no way they can possibly know all the complications & risks until it's used on a much larger group of people than what is used in the clinical trial usage. In a sense we ARE the guinea pigs & I will not allow that on my GD..Just in the past few years there has been numerous drugs pulled from the market because the deaths & other complications weren't found until they where used on the public as in Seldane, Baycol, Posicor, Vioxx, Palladone, Rezulin, Zelnorm, & the popular diet drug Phen Fen & Redux etc. etc. I realize that in order for a new drug to be discovered it has to be used on someone, but I think that greed plays a factor in the rush to market these drugs & some of the negative info. that is found in the early clinical trials is covered up so they can be the first company to market the drug & cash in on the billions of potential profits. I pray this drug is never mandated for our girls...jmo
