You should change your baby to adult food at about 1 yr. As I understand it, puppy food will make an adult dog gain an excess of weight as it has more fats etc in it to encourage muscle development and support the rapid growth of puppies. Having to put an obese adult on a diet can be very difficult for both you and the animal.
