Welcome to YT! I too am from Long Island. You need to find yourself a vet and they will give you all the info you need. If you dont have a vet yet maybe you should post under the forum of "Tri-State Area" and maybe someone else from NY can help. I know there is another yorkie owner on YT from Forest Hills also.
