What specifically are you studying? If you need to comprehend and remember what you read, try keeping a reading log or journal. Write the information down in YOUR OWN WORDS. And look up EVERY word or phrase you don't know. It will make a huge difference in your ability to understand what you read.

Study in short sessions. Research has proven that you retain the most information the first ten to 15 min. of studying.

If you can tell or teach someone else about your topic, it will help. As strange as it sounds, teach it to your puppies. Sometimes I have to see it, write it, hear it and SAY it before I can remember it.

I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night! LOL I also teach high school English when I'm not mommying my Yorkie.
