This is what I make up and freeze: 2 pounds of free range ground beef, 2 pounds of lamb and 1 carton of veal liver. Cook all the meat, let the veal liver complely chill in the ref. before grinding or it becomes like baby food meat instead of a crumble like ground meat. Next, in the food processer I chop fine, 8 fresh carrots and a couple table spoons of fresh parsely. Mix everything together really well and put into 1 qt. size zip-loc bags and freeze. I steam fresh broccoli or green beans to add to this mix when feeding. You can take this mix and beat an egg, pour in skillet add 1/8 cup of the mix and some mild cheddar, simmer on low till done. I've added this mix to salmon patties, mashed into potatoes and added a little tomato sauce and poured over spaghetti noodles or maccaroni. I'm sure you can think of other ways to feed a good healthy meal too. Any "real" food is better than what is put in dog food. That stuff isn't even healthy or real after all that mess is boiled down to a horribly smelly sludge. Take your pick!
