I have finally calmed myself down after bawling for a good bit. I dunno what I'd do if anything happened to my baby!! I am blaming this on the pregnancy hormones!!!
I spoke to the Vet and he walked me through the whole process, assured me that no barbituates would be used and that they do use Iso as the preferred gas. She will be hooked to a monitor the whole time. They told me to call after 2 and see how she is doing. I opted for pre-bloodwork to be sure she's healthy.
I have her brother here with me and he senses something is up. He barked his little head off when I took her (I tried to fool him w/food). He hasn't eaten his breakfast and is just moping around. He keeps going to the door looking for his sister and whining.
This all just breaks my heart!
Vinnie's Mom - keep us posted on how Vinnie recovers! I will say prayers for both of us!! |
Aw, I will be praying for your little baby too, it is just totally nerve-racking! It was all I could do not to cry when they took him away from me last night, and then when i came home and got no puppy kisses and then this morning i prepped his food and water and went to get him up and nothing! Please keep me informed about your baby as well!
