Layla's nails are quite long too.. and that is what we have been doing.. just a milimeter or two every few days and then i file them a bit as well... it is best if you can do it after a bath when the nails are soft and have someone else hold her. Try and get some of that septic (sp?) powder in case you do cut her (but flour dabed on the end works well too!)
