Phoebi has a terrible time with thunderstorms and fireworks. I have a sedative the Vet gave me but by the time the storm starts it's already too late to give her the pill.
We've found a "safe spot" for her. It's under one of my living room end tables. She can manage if she's there....the shaking and drooling is at a minimum.
We had tried everything to desensitize her. Playing CD's of thunder...starting out low and then going louder. Trying to distract her....almost impossible.
So the safe spot is our best bet around here.
