Well, since only one of yours is afraid, I'm sure it's nothing you've done to enhance his fears. Not that anyone intentionally does that but like with our kids, I've always talked about how much I love the thunder and lightening and we've sat and watched it. I think if you play up to their fears and really coddle them, they tend to be more sensitive to their fears. Now, with dogs, I've done the same with Tatum..... not acted scared and actually shown her the lightening and gotten excited to where she thinks Mommy likes it. Who knows.... maybe it works, maybe mine (skin and fur) just aren't afraid of it. I would try acting real positive during a storm and talking real gentle while watching the rain...... might help.
