There are a few hotels that are pet friendly at Estero Blvd. I stayed at Carousel Inn, which is not "wow" but I didn't mind because I wasn't at the room all day and they only charged $10 pet fee. I know that there is another one named Casa Playa, which is much nicer, I stayed there once before having Bengi.
The beach there is pet friendly, they told me they have to be leashed, but nobody says anything at the beach because he's a small dog. And I also saw a couple of big unleashed dogs! But, yeah, the whole area is very pet friendly. You'll love it!
