My vet says you can put msg in their food (found in seasoning isle of gro store as acent or meat tenderizer)... Mine has not gone through that stage but my vet is very good about telling me about what might happen. Dax had intestinal parisites when I got him which caused some bleeding which may cause a dog to eat it's poop. Let me know if the msg thing works.
