I know. That's just it. At 1 yr old when she was diagnosed, we wouldn't think of "giving her back" even if that offer were true! The first year is when she had the best part of her life! She really got to play and be a puppy! Those are the best memories we have with her....

I kept in touch with Jewel's breeder when we found out she was sick. She always replied to my emails but she never initiated one... Her replies were always sypathetic but I was kind of irked that she never sent me one first just to check in.
Your breeder is heartless. I sure hope she didn't continue to breed either of Lexxie's parents.
But you and I know if we could go back in time and have an opportunity to get Lexxie or Jewel again, we would go through all of it again without a doubt in our hearts.
