Yes my baby is 8lbs 4oz i just dont see another one out there with enough room inside as this one and it looks so good i fell in love with it. Either way i think my sis is going to take a carry on little suitcase and i have another carrier not as much room as this one but i will use it as a back up in case they dont allow this one this is the one i currently have
