That is EXACTLY how Bo sounds like... I was really afraid it might be CT... but after seeing this video, I'm inclined to think it's reverse sneezing. I'll have to check next time she does it if she keeps her mouth closed. Then, I'll probably know for sure.
It happens now and again (maybe once a month or so), sometimes, when she gets excited (but not every time) or even if she's very thirsty and drinks too fast. Then again, she might be doing absolutely nothing and it just starts. It's always fast honking and never lasts more than 10 to 15 seconds.
And when it's over, she looks perfectly okay...
I agree: it's a lot scarier to us that to the dog...
