This is the way I trained my Yorkie. We got her at 8 weeks, to young I think. We confined her to the kitchen and she is now 7 months old and that is were she still is. Our kitchen is pretty big, lots of room for here to play and eat in. At night we put down 3 pee pads close to the door to go out, and if she has to go at night she goes on them. In the day she goes outside to potty and she knows too. We have introduced her to the other rooms daily, but if she don't behave, well back in the kitchen she goes. Her bed is there and she sleeps there at night. Never had a problem with her bed time. I just turn off the light at 9:00 and we retire to our room and watch T.V. there or in the computer room. We are retired and in our seventies so I guess it was easier being home all the time. If a person works it is hard on the dog and you. She spends a lot of time outside in our big yard, and she knows to pee out there. In her first few months it was not easy as it was in January the cold months. There were many days I just cried because I didn't think I would make another day. It was hard on us because of our ages. She was a Christmas gift from my daughter, she thought we needed a dog.

Good Luck Ginny
