Hi Ginny -- The easiest and healthiest home-made "gravy" would be to cook a chicken breast in a little water and put the brest and broth in a blender and liquify it. That way you have no added corn (cornstarch) or wheat (flour) for thickening the gravy. You could do the same with any lean cut of meat such as beef or lamb. If you take get a small mold, this mixture also makes a TERRIFIC frozen treat for hot summer days - although it is a little messy. |
